As relayed on this blog, in the limited number of posts anyway, I have been blown away by the welcome and hospitality I have experienced across Europe. I have also had a lot of time to think about the accident of birth that leaves me freely crossing borders in one direction, enjoying myself, and hundreds of thousands fleeing war and persecution blocked from traveling in the other. It makes me sick to my stomach.
So starting on 10 May, for the last leg of my trip in Europe, I am going to be cycling 1,000km and 10,000m of mountains in 10 days on behalf of the International Rescue Committee, who work on the front line of the refugee crisis.
Please consider donating if you can. Its for a great cause and I will be donating too – as well as suffering 🙂
Take a look at the page for more information on the charity and their work, as well as my challenge, but here is my route, come rain or shine!
And be ready for regular updates 😉
